About Me

I help women like YOU build the confidence to create the career and life of your dreams. Whether you’re aiming for that promotion, dreaming of your own corner office, or planning to dive into entrepreneurship, I’m here to support you every step of the way!

My Background

If we’re being honest, confidence wasn’t something that came naturally to me. In fact, it’s probably the last word I would’ve EVER used to describe myself growing up! I was painfully shy, struggled to even speak up, and stepping outside my comfort zone felt impossible.

In college, my imposter syndrome hit me square in the face. Surrounded by talented designers and artists, I felt like I didn’t measure up. I worried that I would never amount to anything. Needless to say, the downward spiral of imposter syndrome really started to kick in.

Graduating only made things worse. I struggled to find a job and, if I’m completely honest, I was so intimidated and riddled with self-doubt that I often stopped myself from even applying. It was a tough time, and I slipped into one of my lowest points without even realizing it.

Then, I got a lucky break: a dear friend who believed in me passed my name along to a recruiter. Despite my fears, I flew across the country to interview, and—to my complete shock—I landed my DREAM job as a bedding designer!

I still remember crying in the Flatiron District when I got the call. I truly couldn’t believe my luck!

Even though I was afraid of the challenges ahead, I knew this was my chance to build a better life. I threw myself headfirst into my new life in NYC, determined to make it work.

New York or Nowhere!

My Corporate Career Journey

When I first entered the corporate world (wide-eyed and naive!), I thought hard work, a good attitude, and loyalty would get me where I wanted to go. Oh, how wrong I was!

The truth is, imposter syndrome had me COMPLETELY paralyzed. Instead of focusing on design, I buried myself in admin tasks and avoided the creative work I was actually hired to do.

❌ I felt like everyone around me was more talented, and I was just lucky to be there.

❌ I was terrified my ideas weren’t original enough and constantly second-guessed my work.

❌ I felt like a massive fraud and avoided any work that would make me feel exposed.

❌ I kept my opinions and ideas to myself, too afraid of being wrong.

❌ I worried that any success I achieved was just a fluke and that I didn’t really earn it.

I was so scared of failing at what I loved that I hid behind what felt safe.

But this came at a cost. I stayed stuck in this self-destructive cycle for almost FIVE whole years! I watched as others—who’d been at the company for far less time—were promoted above me. I felt angry, hurt, ashamed…

And then finally, MOTIVATED.

That was my wake-up call. I realized I needed to take RADICAL responsibility for my actions and career. I was stuck in #victimmode, waiting for things to happen instead of taking charge.

And that’s when everything changed.

✨ Instead of waiting to be noticed, I confronted my boss and department head about my career goals. I realized no one would know my ambitions if I never expressed them! I had to advocate for myself and let them know I was dedicated.

✨ I took on independent projects and managed several small accounts. This pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and become more comfortable taking ownership of my ideas.

✨ I began managing a small team, learning leadership and project management skills that helped to boost our success. I started stepping into hard challenges knowing that I could handle anything that came my way.

✨ And I faced my biggest fear: public speaking. Presenting to clients terrified me (hello, shaking voice!), but it also made my confidence soar and transformed my performance.

The results blew me away. In less than three years, I went from Junior to Senior Designer and DOUBLED my income. Looking back, I’m amazed at the transformation! It was so powerful that I knew I had to share what I’d learned to help others experience the same growth.

Why I Do What I Do

Now, I’m on a new journey to help YOU achieve your own transformation. I’ve been there—I know the fears, doubts, and mindset that can hold you back. But I also know how incredible it feels to push through them and create the career and life you truly want.

A few years ago, I was eager for a promotion. I’ A few years ago, I was eager for a promotion. I’d been putting in the hours, meeting expectations, and producing good work (if I do say so myself lol). I felt like I was “next in line” and waited patiently for the recognition I thought I’d earned.

Spoiler alter: life doesn’t work this way. This mindset was actually holding me back.

I assumed everyone understood my goals and career aspirations—even though I’d never clearly communicated them! Waiting quietly to be noticed can keep you stuck, and if you’re not actively advocating for yourself, you might miss out on the opportunities you deserve.

Ready to start owning your career growth? Here are 5 simple, actionable tips to help you advocate for yourself and achieve your goals:

✨Set Clear Goals: Define what you want and where you’re headed. When you have a clear direction, it’s easier to share it.

✨Communicate Your Ambitions: Don’t assume your goals are obvious to others (like I did!). Make sure your manager knows what you’re aiming for. Check in with them regularly to keep them updated on your progress.

✨Highlight Your Wins: Keep track of your achievements and share them- be proud of your work! I even keep a “brag” folder of any positive feedback or praise I receive. When it’s time to negotiate, I have a collection of reminders that reflect my value and hard work.

✨Seek Feedback: Asking for constructive feedback shows maturity and that you are committed to growing your skills. This builds trust and shows initiative.

✨Showcase Your Unique Strengths: What can you bring to the table that no one else can? Identify what sets you apart and find ways to leverage your unique strengths on projects or tasks. This can make you stand out from your peers.

Mindset Shift Monday: From Comparison to Inspirati Mindset Shift Monday: From Comparison to Inspiration

Do you ever find yourself comparing your journey to someone else’s? Wondering why you’re not there yet? You’re not alone—I’ve been there too.

But here’s the thing: instead of letting comparison get you down, use it to lift you up! Shift your mindset from envy to inspiration.

If they can do it, so can YOU!

When I wanted to become a better designer, I sought out a coworker whose expertise inspired me. Her guidance helped me grow and perfect my skills, which ultimately helped me get promoted twice in under 3 years. Later, when I realized I wanted to become an entrepreneur, I looked to otherswho had taken that leap. Seeing their success made me believe I could do it too!

Switching from comparison to inspiration empowered me to take action—and it can do the same for you.

Remember, every step forward is progress- no matter how small or insignificant it may seem! So, what’s one action you can take today to move toward your dreams? Let me know in the comments below! 👇

When I first started managing a small team, I was hesitant to delegate. I worried it would make me look lazy or that my team would feel overloaded while I kept too little work for myself.

But then I realized something important: I was holding my team back. By not delegating, I wasn’t giving them the chance to grow, take ownership of projects, or step up as leaders.

Delegation is a powerful skill that not only lightens your workload but also shows you’re a confident, organized leader. When you delegate, you demonstrate:

✅ Strong organizational skills: You manage projects efficiently and know who is best suited for each task.

✅ Clear communication: You make sure tasks are clearly understood and executed with precision.

✅ Trust in your team: You empower others to take responsibility and shine in their roles.

✅ Focus on priorities: You give your attention to the most important tasks, while your team supports the rest.

Here are a few ways I’ve successfully delegated to my team:

1️⃣ Divide large projects into smaller tasks: I’ll split projects across the team to increase speed and productivity, while giving each member a chance to try new tasks or perfect their skills.

2️⃣ Assign research tasks to junior team members: This helps them develop new skills and grow, while you focus on higher-level strategy.

Learning how to delegate was a game-changer for me as a manager. Mastering this skill not only strengthened my team so they could learn, grow, and thrive, but also helped me achieve incredible results.

You Are Capable of Achieving Everything You Want i You Are Capable of Achieving Everything You Want in Life

The truth is, you are capable of achieving whatever you desire—but sometimes the only thing standing in your way is YOU. And I should know- I was in my own way for 5 years!

Self-doubt, fear, and limiting beliefs can create roadblocks that prevent you from going after what you truly want.

But here’s the thing:

✨ You have the power to create your own path. Identify the big goals you want to achieve- what do you REALLY want? Then start chasing them!

For me, thise looked like advancing from a Junior to a Senior position at work. Once I hit this goal, I realized I was passionate about teaching & helping other women have the same success I did.

✨ Opportunities are limitless if you believe in your potential. List all the reasons why you CAN’T have everything you want. Seriously- what’s stopping you?! You can achieve anything if you take it one step at a time.

When I identified my goal, I had to shift my mindset & believe that I could achieve whatever goal I set for myself. It may sound easy, but as someone with low self esteem & confidence, this was a BIG shift. Once I started to believe in myself, things started to get easier and my anxiety started to lift.

✨ Getting out of your own way means letting go of fear and self-sabotage. Sure, you may stumble a few times along the way, and the growing pains are UNCOMFORTABLE. But when you look back the progress you’ve made in a year, you will be so proud of yourself!

When you stop overthinking and start taking action, incredible things happen. The life you want is within reach—you just have to trust yourself and go for it.

1️⃣ I’ve lived in NYC 🗽 for almost a decade! I moved here for work, and never thought I would stay longer than 5 years. Funny how life always has other plans in store for us!

2️⃣ I’m obsessed with coffee ☕️ A little half & half and I’m good to go.

3️⃣ I’m a huge fantasy nerd & I’m obsessed with LOTR.

4️⃣ I absolutely LOVE dogs🐕 One of my biggest dreams is to have a huuuuuuge yard so I can have a bunch of dogs. I would love to adopt elderly dogs in need of a home.

6️⃣ I have a degree in textile design & got my ✨dream✨ job right out of college.

7️⃣ My favorite hobby is quilting, but I sadly don’t do it much because it requires a lot of space (one of the downsides to living in NYC- space is hard to come by!). I just finished a baby quilt for a close friend & am hoping to complete another by the end of the year.

8️⃣ I have a massive sweet tooth🧁🍰🍪🍩 I will never turn down a pastry if offered!

9️⃣ I HATE the heat and LOVE the cold. Summer is BY FAR the worst season (yes, I am being serious). I hibernate in the summer because NYC is the absolute WORST- I hate the humidity.

🔟 My favorite CD is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I listen to it year round- it always puts me in a happy mood!

When I first became a manager, I had no idea what it meant to lead a team. I was so shy and was terrified to make decisions.

I was constantly putting my coworkers feelings before results (which I still struggle with TBH). I was tip toeing around taking control to avoid being seen as assertive, bossy, or arrogant.

That’s when I realized by not taking action, I was making everything so much more painful & complicated for my team.

In order to lead effectively, I had to master basic leadership skills. Not only did these skills work wondersa, but they helped me advance my career more than I thought possible. In less than 3 years, I was promoted twice and doubled my income!
